Pay rate range from $55 - $65
Start Time: 6:00 am - 2:00 pm (Monday to Friday and potential overtime work)

Programmed is currently seeking experienced Welders to join our client in South-East Melbourne, who is responsible for the welding, fabrication, and assembly of metal structures and components, ensuring the production of high-quality, durable, and precise parts for a variety of projects. This hands-on role requires expertise in both MIG and TIG welding techniques, with a strong focus on attention to detail, technical skills, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
Experience in confined spaces/working at heights (advantageous)
Must have the ability to multitask
Use of powered equipment (tools) and basic tools of trade
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and project specifications to fabricate and assemble metal components accurately.
Ensure all fabricated and welded parts meet specified design tolerances, quality standards, and functional requirements.
Inspect, test, and evaluate the quality and strength of welds to maintain consistent high-quality outputs.
Assemble and install components as required for packaged pump systems or other mechanical assemblies.
Maintain welding equipment, tools, and workstations, ensuring they are kept in safe, working order at all times.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, ensuring efficient project completion within deadlines and budget constraints.
Adhere to safety protocols, company policies, and regulatory requirements at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
Any other duties and/or directions as per management’s discretion.
Requirements:
Welding Trade Certificate or higher qualification
Prior experience as a Welder/Fabricator with expertise in MIG, TIG,ARC, OXY
Experience in Stainless Pipe welding, highly regarded
Current Australian Driver’s Licence
Strong attention to detail
